Lost River Wetland

Three signs are installed as a triptych in a kiosk at the parking area.

I researched, wrote text, designed and illustrated these three signs for the Lost River Wetland Mitigation Bank in the Klamath region of south-central Oregon. These mitigation banks are managed the Oregon Department of Transportation. In this case, a wetland that had once been drained for cattle grazing was restored as wetland habitat. ODOT uses these areas as a “bank”. Reconstructed wetlands are considered like a “deposit” to counter other projects like highway construction that are “withdrawals”.
