Renton Weir

This City of Seattle project interpreted the fish weir and trap, riparian habitat, history and recreation opportunities at the Cedar River in Renton, Washington. The Cedar River is the source of Seattle’s drinking water. It’s watershed is owned and maintained by the City of Seattle to keep the drinking water of the highest quality. Using client-provided text, I designed and illustrated the series of eight signs. Please do not download the images.

The weir and trap are used to collect sockeye broodstock for the fish hatchery.
